Procedures

Step 1

Open INJ cover (★1).

Step 2

Remove the liner fixing nut (★2).

Step 3

Pull out the TD tube (②) using tweezers (①).

Hint

Using the liner removal tool (④) makes it easy to pull out.

Step 4

Attach an O-ring (③) to the new TD tube (②).

Caution

A distance (★3) of 12 mm or more between the wool and the bottom of the TD tube is appropriate.

Step 5

Install the TD tube (②) to the injection port.

Press down with tweezers (①) until it touches the bottom.

Hint

When using MonoTrap (⑥), place MonoTrap with tweezers into the MMI liner for splitless analysis (⑤), and install the liner to the injection port.

Step 6

Attach the liner fixing nut (★2).

Hint

It is easier to tighten if you fix the protrusion (★4) of the liner fixing nut to the hole (★5) of the MMI cover before turning the nut.

Step 7

Close INJ cover.

Step 8

Exit maintenance mode using the following procedure according to the relevant instrument, and reset the consumable usage counter.

Hint

When exiting maintenance mode, it is recommended to turn off the leak check function. This prevents the sample in the newly installed TD tube from being vented by the leak check.
