Procedures

Step 1

Remove the cover as described in Installation and Removal of Maintenance Cover .

Step 2

Remove the needle as described in Needle Replacement Procedure .

Step 3-1

For HS-20 and HS-20 L.T, use a wrench (1/4 inch × 5/16 inch) to remove the nuts (2 places) on the valve side, then remove the sample loop.

Step 3-2

For HS-20 Trap, use a wrench (1/4 inch × 5/16 inch) to remove the nuts on the valve (left) and valve (right), then remove the sample loop.

Step 4

Prepare a new sample loop.

For HS-20 Trap, bend the sample loop at approximately 20 mm from each end as shown in the figure below (①: valve (left), ②: valve (right)).

Step 5-1

For HS-20 and HS-20 L.T, use a wrench (1/4 inch × 5/16 inch) to securely tighten the nuts (2 places) on the valve side of the new sample loop.

Step 5-2

For HS-20 Trap

  1. Attach the valve (left) side nut to the valve (left) and gently tighten it.
  2. Attach the valve (right) side nut to the valve (right) and gently tighten it.
  3. Tighten the valve (left) and valve (right) side nuts approximately 1/4 turn to the right using a wrench (1/4 inch x 5/16 inch) .

Step 6

Install the cover as described in Installation and Removal of Maintenance Cover .
