Installation of ClickTek Adapter

For the way to differentiate between Ver.1 and Ver.2 of ClickTek, see the notes in step 9 of Installation of Capillary Column (ClickTek Ferrule) .

注記

All ClcikTek adapters except for ClickTek adapter ECD-U Ver.2 (S221-77156-61) can be replaced by the customer following this procedure. Installation and replacement of the ClickTek adapter for ECD-U Ver.2 (S221-77156-61) requires removing the ECD cell from the GC, so the customer cannot replace it. Please contact our sales office, agency, or our designated service representative.

Removal of Graphite Ferrule Adapter

Step 1

Stop the instrument. Then, on the instrument monitor or workstation, check that the temperature of the column oven is lower than 40 °C, check that the temperatures of the injection port and detector are 50 °C or lower, and check that the gas supply is stopped and there is no residual pressure.

Step 2

Remove the two screws of the injection port, and remove the heating cup for the graphite ferrule.
This step is not necessary for models that do not require the heating cup, such as the GC-2050.

Step 3

Remove the graphite ferrule adapter by using a 10×12 spanner (①).

Installation procedure of ClickTek adapter

Step 1

Stop the instrument. Then, on the instrument monitor or workstation, check that the temperature of the column oven is lower than 40 °C, check that the temperatures of the injection port and detector are 50 °C or lower, and check that the gas supply is stopped and there is no residual pressure.

Step 2

Place AU gasket (④) on ClickTek adapter (③) on the injection port side.

Step 3

Install ClickTek adapter (③) on the injection port side.

Step 4

Fix ClickTek adapter (③) with 10×12 spanner (①).

Step 5

Install heating cup for ClickTek (⑤) and fix it with 2 screws.
This step is not necessary for models that do not require the heating cup, such as the GC-2050.

Step 6

Install it on the detector side in the same way.

Note

The AU gasket is not required on the detector side.

Detachment procedure of ClickTek adapter

Step 1

Stop the instrument. Then, on the instrument monitor or workstation, check that the temperature of the column oven is lower than 40 °C, check that the temperatures of the injection port and detector are 50 °C or lower, and check that the gas supply is stopped and there is no residual pressure.

Step 2

Remove 2 screws fixing heating cup for ClickTek (⑤) on the injection port side.
This step is not necessary for models that do not require the heating cup, such as the GC-2050.

Step 3

Loosen ClickTek adapter (③) with 10×12 spanner (①).

Step 4

Turn ClickTek adapter (③) by hands to detach it.

Step 5

Detach it on the detector side in the same way.
