Procedures

Step 1

Remove the cover as described in Installation and Removal of Maintenance Cover .

Step 2

Remove the trap tube.

  1. Raise the upper joint (①) so that a wrench can be placed on it. Hold the upper joint with a double-ended wrench (6 mm × 8 mm), and remove the nut (②) by turning it to the left with a wrench (1/4 inch × 5/16 inch).

  1. Pull the upper joint up to remove it.

Step 3

Install the upper joint on the new trap tube.

Note

Pay attention to the direction of the ferrule.

Step 4

Install the new trap tube.

  1. Hold the upper joint of the new trap and insert it into the hole for the valve block trap.

  1. Hold the upper joint with a double-ended wrench (6 mm × 8 mm), and tighten the nut by turning it to the right with a wrench (1/4 inch × 5/16 inch).

  2. Push down the upper joint of the new trap tube.

Step 5

Install the cover as described in Installation and Removal of Maintenance Cover .
