Procedures¶
Step 1¶
On the instrument monitor or workstation, check that the temperature of the column oven is lower than 40 °C, and check that the temperatures of the injection port and detector are 50 °C or lower.
After checking the temperatures, turn OFF the main power to the instrument.
Step 2¶
Remove the column installed on FID.
Step 3¶
Open INJ/DET cover (★1).
Step 4¶
Remove the stopper plate, and remove the igniter.
Step 5¶
Loosen the two screws, and remove the upper cover (★2), high voltage unit (★3), and collector (★4) together.
The screws have a fall-prevention structure, so removal is not necessary.
Step 6¶
Loosen the FID nozzle (★5) with a hexnut driver (②).
Step 7¶
Remove the FID nozzle with tweezers (①).
Step 8¶
Install Jetanizer(③) inside the FID body, tightening it securely with a hexnut driver (②).
Step 9¶
Attach the assembled collector, upper cover, and high voltage unit to the FID body, and tighten the two screws to fix them.
Ensure that the screws are tightened alternately and gradually to apply even force to the collector.
Step 10¶
Attach the igniter, and fix it with the stopper plate.
Step 11¶
Close INJ/DET cover.
When using Jetanizer, set the detector temperature to 400°C.
When installing and using a Jetanizer for the first time, bake it at 450°C for 1 hour before use.
The column insertion length is 40 mm, which is different from FID.
