Procedures¶
Step 1¶
Remove the vial cap after the vial has cooled.
Depending on the sample type, it may be necessary to remove the vial cap in a fume hood.
Step 2¶
Place the needle-nose pliers between the septum and the vial cap by grabbing the cap and lift the vial cap.
Step 3¶
Peel the vial cap until the whole radius is teared.
Note
Be careful not to injure yourself with sharp fragments of a vial cap.
